Make a Difference: Become a CIDL Volunteer!

Whether helping out a few hours a month or a few hours a week, every minute a volunteer gives makes a difference! Volunteer opportunities at the library may include preparing program materials, assisting at special events, and providing administrative assistance.

To begin the process of becoming a volunteer at the library, you can do one of the following:
*Those aged 14-18 must apply via option 2 or 3, as a parent/guardian signature is required.  At this time, 14 is the minimum age to volunteer at the Library.

The Friends of the Clarkston Independence District Library is always in need of volunteers as well. Sorting donated materials, staffing book sales, and participating on the Friends’ Board of Directors. Special Board Meeting

On March 20, 2020 at 2:30PM, the Clarkston Independence Library Board will be having a Special meeting to discuss options for Library services during the COVID-19 related closure. We will be streaming this meeting via Facebook Live at our Facebook page.
Members of the public are welcome to attend, and there will be a time for questions from the public near the beginning of the meeting. If you are not able to attend via Facebook live, the meeting will also be streamed via zoom at the following meeting URL:
Please note, microphones will be muted until the section on public comment, and chat messages will be monitored during that section of the meeting.
